Support Programmes

  • Sleep and Anxiety Management

This five week programme will be offered to patients having difficulty with anxiety and sleep, and will be facilitated by a Health Psychologist.  Basic relaxation and visualisation techniques will also be taught as part of overall stress management.
  • Caregivers Support Group

This is a three week group designed to offer support and coping strategies to the caregivers and relatives of people with cancer.
 
  • Meditation 

This six week programme will provide an introductory course in meditation also as a means of controlling stress and anxiety and will promote the role of the mind/body connection in the recovery process.  It is aimed primarily at people currently undergoing treatment. 
 
  • Relaxation and Breathing

This six week programme will provide an introductory course in relaxation, visualisation and breathing practices as a means of controlling stress and anxiety and to assist you with treatment.  It is aimed primarily at people currently undergoing treatment.  

A Clinical Counsellor facilitates each of the above programmes
