All library services are free of charge. 

What Information is Available ?

Information suitable for patients, families and carers on all cancers and cancer related conditions such as lymphoedema.  Information to help with decisions regarding treatment and clinical trials.  We have information about managing cancer symptoms and treatment side-effects and on nutrition and eating well during treatment and beyond.  You may need information about managing physical activity, sleep and rest during treatment and for optimal recovery from cancer.

We also have support resources on topics such as living with cancer and survivorship.  There are inspirational stories about people who have had cancer.  Information is available on managing the impact of cancer on families, children, friends and additional information on grief, loss and bereavement.

Our library holds information about alternative and complementary therapies.

There is information on reducing cancer risk and we have statistics about cancer in New Zealand and some international statistics.

Health professionals may find suitable information on many cancers and cancer related topics.

Resources include:

Books on many subjects, journals (for health professionals and lay people), Cancer Society fact sheets, Cancer Society booklets for patients and families on specific cancers and on managing some effects of cancer such as breathlessness and emotions and text books on all aspects of cancer.
